Frequently Asked Questions

I offer individual therapy for teens and adults, as well as couples therapy.

I work with teens (13+) and adults of all ages. It’s never too late to start.

Individual sessions last for 50 minutes. Couples sessions, 50 minutes. At the start of therapy I recommend meeting weekly so we can get to know one another, build trust, and gain some momentum. I’m always open to discussing more flexible scheduling, such as every other week, if it’s appropriate and works for you.

I focus on using an integrative approach, tailoring my methods to fit each client’s unique needs. My style is warm and collaborative. I’m also not afraid to find those moments to gently challenge you so we help you develop insight and practical skills to help manage what life throws at you.

Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance. I know that can be a deterrent. If cost is a barrier to receiving care, I’m available to discuss reduced fee options. I also provide superbills, which allow your insurance to reimburse you for a portion of the fee, depending upon your benefits.

If you’re here that means something isn’t feel quite right. That something is likely getting in the way of your day-to-day life. You might be finding yourself isolating more, your work performance has declined, or you’re not showing up in relationships the way you used to. If it’s impacting some of these areas it might mean you need a little more support. You don’t have to have a clinical diagnosis to need or to benefit from therapy. We don’t look down on an athlete who uses a coach to improve their performance. Let’s bring the same acceptance to this journey.

This is a common question and a hard one to answer. The duration of therapy differs for each individual or couple. Some clients achieve their goals in a few months, while others might benefit from longer-term support. I regularly review your progress and goals with you so we can adjust your plan as needed.

Yes! Everything we talk about remains private. There are a few legal exceptions to this such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or in cases of suspected child or elder abuse.

You will receive paperwork about this and I discuss it in detail in our first session.

Absolutely. We can meet in-person, virtually, or do a hybrid. It’s about your comfort and making this process as accessible as possible. No one enjoys sitting in LA traffic!

I suggest we start with a free twenty minute phone call. You can get to know me and you can share a bit about what you’re looking to work on. If it feels like a good fit we can schedule our first session and try things out. Click on the link below to contact me and we will get started!
