Here’s the truth: perinatal mental health struggles are incredibly common, and seeking support isn’t just helpful – it’s essential. This period involves massive hormonal changes, sleep deprivation, identity shifts, and life adjustments that would challenge anyone. You’re not weak for struggling; you’re human.

Therapy during this time can help you process the complex emotions, develop adaptive coping strategies, and ensure both you and your baby get the best possible start. Everyone wants to prioritize baby during this time (and yes baby is important!) but what we should be prioritizing is your mental health and well being. Taking care of your mental health isn’t selfish – it’s one of the most loving things you can do for your family.
